Move to Stop Military Discharges for Personality Disorder

Sunday October 14, 2007

In July US Senators Barack Obama, Christopher Bond, Barbara Boxer, Joseph Lieberman, Claire McCaskill, and Patty Murray asked that the Department of Defense examine their policy of personality disorder discharges.

The original effort continues, and now the original group, joined by John F. Kerry, Joseph R. Biden, Tim Johnson, and Bernard Sanders are trying to attach amendment to the National Defense Authorization Act.

Regarding military article.
I was discharged with a general under honerable conditions discharge in 2003 for drug use however now that I am being treated for bipolar and perhaps BPD I realise these things were the real issue. I was a good Marine up until the fact and would be willing to go Iraq if they gave me a second chance.
